The Funders Forum Conference is an event that brings federal and state agencies and private foundations together with non-profit entities and communities. The 9th Annual Funders Forum is an event put forth by Circle of Ten, 501c3, and is hosted in 2010 in Winnsboro, Texas. A Circle of Ten is a non-profit corporation that emphasizes a Network for Collaboration and was recently recognized by Rick Perry, Governor of Texas at the Governor's Non-Profit Conference.
The event includes a trade show venue of grant funding agencies where individual consultation and information gathering will occur. Funding panels will provide brief overviews and answer specific questions from the participants. Seminars will be available for more detailed information regarding resources available, individualized training, and information regarding resource related materials - for instance, one seminar is "How to create and fund a local Community Foundation".
A Circle of Ten, Inc. (C10), a nonprofit agency, has trained and supported leaders to multiply partnerships impacting economic development since 1996. C10's Network consists of 820+ staff and volunteers from non-profit agencies, churches, schools, hospitals, colleges, businesses and towns who have completed the Process of Collaboration workshop and support services to realize their dreams. RURAL COLLABORATION RESOURCE CENTER C10 connects people with resources through services, training and support to build individual and agency capacity; and through inclusion in regional Initiatives.
Winnsboro is well known for its live music. There are performances at Crossroads on stage at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts, the Northeast Texas Music Festival in June, plus performances at Double C Steakhouse and Brewbaker's Restaurant and Pub and free live music at Art & Espresso throughout the year.
